Details & FAQs:

Sculptra is an FDA-approved biostimulatory injectable filler that helps gradually replace collagen (the protein in the body responsible for skin elasticity) that’s lost over time due to aging. Over time, collagen synthesis helps restore facial volume and boost skin’s radiance.

Sculptra is composed of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biocompatible synthetic substance that stimulates the body’s collagen production.

During Sculptra treatment, we inject Sculptra into the dermis, the layer of skin where collagen is produced. Immediately, tiny PLLA beads disperse into the areas where wrinkles are located. As the beads naturally dissolve over time, the body produces new collagen in their place, resulting in the improved appearance of lines and wrinkles, along with restored facial volume and better skin quality.

The best Sculptra results are achieved over a series of treatments. The results obtained over multiple treatments will emerge gradually and can last up to 2 years. As collagen is restored, you’ll look younger over time.

What areas can we treat?

We use Sculptra to target transitional zones, structural deficiencies, and concavities to create a more youthful appearance. Areas typically treated include:
Nasolabial folds between the nose and mouth
Marionette lines around the mouth
Chin wrinkles

How long will the procedure take, and what's the downtime?

Sculptra treatments take approximately 1 hour.

Expect some swelling, bruising, redness, and tenderness in the area post-treatment that should resolve within 1-2 weeks.

How many treatments will I need? When will I see results?

We’ll determine your unique treatment plan based on area and goals. On average, a series of 3 treatment sessions over a few months is necessary.

Sculptra is FDA-approved to last for up to 2 years in the face.

We recommend our patients schedule an annual filler evaluation and injection session to maintain best results.
